Andersonville

Andersonville’s charming Clark street corridor will make you feel like you’ve been transported out of the city and on to a small town main street. The historically Swedish neighborhood has remained true to its roots, honoring the past while nurturing pride in the present. If you want to surround yourself with art, antiques, independent businesses and queer community, Andersonville is the place to go.

One of the most recent additions to the neighborhood, and a very welcome one, Vignette Vignette is helmed by two local art school graduates who were able to open their doors after running a successful crowdfunding campaign. The storefront art studio offers pottery and drawing classes, kiln rental and private events. Workshops boast playful names like Wheelin’ Wednesdays, #ThrowbackThursday, and Sunday Spins, which encourages attendees to bring their favorite records to spin while learning how to use the pottery wheel.
