Lincoln Square is like being in a small town within the city. It's a blend of people from all cultures, ages and walks of life. A pedestrian-friendly strip brings a great mix of casual eateries and upscale restaurants, European-style cafes, independent stores and fun things to do like touring Half Acre Brewery, catching a new release at Davis Theater or laying on a blanket in Welles Park. We love it for its chill vibe, tree-lined streets and plenty of things to see, do, taste and try. Here are some of our favorites.
Great little BYOB Italian restaurant whose known for their wood-fired brick oven pizzas (they made the oven themselves!) and pasta dishes.
A casual and cozy authentic indian restaurant with great cocktails.
The best Banh Mi sandwiches around. Fresh-baked bread, crunchy vegetables and slow cooked meat.

Gelato. Gelato. Gelato. And coffee. Do we really need to say more?
Best deep dish pizza in Chicago. Ask any local and they'll agree.

New American restaurant with great food and cocktails at prices that won't make you gasp.
Miku is a great restaurant for all Japanese food lovers. Serving sushi traditional-style in a modern and cozy atmosphere, they offer hot or cold small plates, big plates, ramen, skewers, nigiri and sashimi, and all types of maki rolls. Any of their maki rolls make miso happy—especially the Dragon roll. If you're into ramen like us, their Tonkotsu ramen is honestly the best ramen we've had in Chicago, and our friends agree! If you happen to go in the month of March, they celebrate "National Noodle Month" by discounting their ramen dishes to $8 each instead of the normal $13-14 prices. If you go during the day, they have some really great lunch specials. Sit at the sushi bar, at one of the tables or out on the front patio that runs along Lincoln Ave. Tip: It's best to make a reservation if you go at night. Also, they're no longer a BYOB, so leave that wine at home to enjoy later.
