You will need internet in Cuba. And it’s not easy to find reliable connectsion. Although there is now data on cellphones, you will need a local chip, unless you want to spent $2 per MB roaming from the US. There are wifi spots throughout the city where you have to use a paid card to get online, but you may struggle with the connection. The lobby of the Capri hotel has the most reliable and fastest internet in town that anyone can use; you can buy a 1hr card for $1.50 in the lobby. If you have work to do or calls to make, come here to do it. Food and drinks aren't bad either.
