Welcome to Ljubljana, the tiny capital of Slovenia, conveniently placed between the Alps and the Mediterranean sea. It’s a humane city that's easy to get round as it has preserved its small-town friendliness and relaxed atmosphere while providing all the facilities of a modern capital. Best experienced on foot.
Regional street-art and beyond.
Along the Central Market there’s a row of restaurants, offering fresh and cheap mid-day meals. You can choose from fresh seafood, grilled meat, roasted chicken and more. Na Plac is particularly good, serving delicious grilled seafood and Wiener Schnitzels. Cheap and yummy, but watch out for the pigeons and sparrows sneaking around. Open until 2 pm only.
