Hidden east of Downtown Los Angeles, the Arts District is quickly becoming the hottest place to sip coffee, grab a gourmet sandwich or shop for beautiful treasures. Named after the residents and murals that make up the community, the Arts District is a welcome oasis from the bustling city of Downtown.
Pizzanista! (exclamation point included) is an eclectic mix of skateboard culture, local ingredients, and delicious pizza. You can go one direction and indulge in the sightly blasphemous Meat Jesus pizza (pepperoni, sausage AND bacon), or do a 180 (or a backside 180 ollie, look it up) and order a vegetarian or vegan OR gluten-free slice. On the weekend, try out their Mac & Cheese pizza. Wash it down with a beer or any of their selection of off-beat sodas (Lenin-ade, anyone?), and maybe swipe a $1 day-old slice for later.
