If you had a Venn diagram of Santa Monica, Venice, Culver City, Westwood, and Mid-city LA, the overlapping portion right at the center would be West LA. This neighborhood has an ever-increasing list of hip and trendy offerings while continuing to maintain many of the classic establishments that have made it a destination for over half a century. Because of its central location amid so many iconic LA neighborhoods, West LA benefits from the spilling over of influences from its various neighbors without succumbing to the stigma of hype that has engulfed so many desirable areas of Los Angeles.
Authentic Japanese Barbeque
A great gastro pub with an amazing draught beer selection and an extensive menu with a lot of great choices for snacks or a full meal. This place has several TVs, so it’s an excellent choice for anyone who wants to watch a game and be able to eat well while they’re doing it. The beers are mostly microbrews both domestic and import, and they always have something new on tap. As far as gastro pubs go, they do a great job of maintaining a low key, neighborhood bar vibe without unnecessary hype.
