Coyoacán

Coyoacán, one of the first neighborhoods in Mexico City, located in the South, is considered a bohemian and magical place full of stories, legends and culture. Among its beautiful cobbled streets, gardens, churches, coffee shops, markets, museums and various architectural works of the colonial era you will find an enormous influence of painters, writers, artists and sculptors. Just get lost and wander throughout the streets and travel in time, you won’t regret it.

If you consider yourself a film buff and you love modernist architecture then you should come to this sanctuary. Cineteca Nacional (The National Film Archives) keeps history in every way, starting with its programming, which highlights its traditional National and International Film Festivals. Cineteca Nacional has been recently remodeled by the talented Mexican architect Michel Rojkind as a part of the cententennial celebrations celebrated in Mexico. Visitors can enjoy films, cafes, local food and delicious ice-cream courtesy of Roxy. This cool place has been a concert venue and it has beautiful green areas where you can chill out and enjoy films that are projected at night time.
