Coyoacán

Coyoacán, one of the first neighborhoods in Mexico City, located in the South, is considered a bohemian and magical place full of stories, legends and culture. Among its beautiful cobbled streets, gardens, churches, coffee shops, markets, museums and various architectural works of the colonial era you will find an enormous influence of painters, writers, artists and sculptors. Just get lost and wander throughout the streets and travel in time, you won’t regret it.

Opened in November 2006 and located on the side of Allende Park, La Bipo (Bipolar) is a place that lives up to its name. The ground floor feels like an ideal place to talk at length with your friends, on top is pure party. You cannot miss the famous “Quesadilla de Jamaica” accompanied by Mauricio Garcés, a mezcal and Lulu pineapple frosty soda with chili powder, or a well-known Paris Naco, which is a combination of brandy and soda Lulu. But if you have more of a craving for beer, you can request a Carta Blanca and eat delicious Apaches to scare off hunger, which are beans and tortilla chips covered with melted Oaxaca cheese. What a delight! The concept is that of a bar you could find downtown, but with a fresher feel thanks to the kitsch decor touches made by Esrawe Studio, pure Mexican design. When it comes to music and if you go between Wednesday and Saturday, at the top you can get into the party with the DJ or band. Or if you're downstairs, you can choose something to put on the jukebox.
