Just put one foot inside El Merendero and you'll be traveling to a typical soda fountain of the fifties. Instantly you feel the need to sit down on the bar and ask for a ‘Pedro Infante’ juicy Burger (with lovely artisan bread) that adds a different touch to any burger you've tried before. If you go accompanied with your partner, those blue leather chairs are the perfect framework for sharing a milkshake. If you get the Oreo ice cream, you'll be winning many points. Located on Higuera Street in the heart of Coyoacán, Merendero has burgers for all tastes: chicken, flank steak, beef and tuna. If you want to play it safe, ask for a Tacuache, a favorite of customers thanks to great taste that give the blue cheese and caramelized onions with which it is prepared. But at Merendero there are not just burgers and milkshakes, the menu also includes pancakes, waffles, sandwiches and pizzas; all the names of the dishes characters refer to the decade we breathe inside this place. An Angelica Maria salad, a Johnny Cash hot dog or a Stan Lee sandwich.
