Miami River

Flowing from the Everglades in western Miami-Dade County, the Miami River twists through the city until the mouth opens into Biscayne Bay. It’s here where the river splits the city center into Miami’s Historic Downtown and Brickell Financial District with riverwalks on either bank. Explore the foundations of Miami’s Aboriginal people, settlements of American pioneers, landmark architecture, breathtaking vistas, waterfront parks and fine dining.

Miami Circle

Located in Brickell Point Park on the south bank of the riverwalk where the Miami River meets Biscayne Bay, Miami-Dade County has preserved the site of a ceremonial structure believed to be built by the Tequesta people over 1000 years ago. Newly discovered sites of Aboriginal boardwalks and settlements on the north bank will only be experienced through glass floors of a condo building, which is what makes this park so special.
