"Eat Street" (Nicollet Avenue) is home to a gamut of restaurants inspired by Vietnamese, Hispanic, Mediterranean, Caribbean tastes, among others. Grab a coffee at 10pm, wander the galleries tucked off of the main drag, and when it's nice out, make sure to take advantage of the plentiful open-air dining options and watch the mix of worlds collide.

The Minneapolis Institute of Art is home to a huge mix of work -- from names like Matisse and Rembrandt, to exhibitions of work by contemporary local artists. The programming is ever-changing, featuring fun events and tours nearly every day as well as an ever-changing series of incoming exhibitions. The Minneapolis Institute of Art also has a huge collection of work from various areas around the globe, and offers incredible resources for learning more about the content within the walls of the museum. The curation really is is top-notch. Be sure to walk the grounds and visit the sculptures outside, and around the back of the building as well. There is a serene little area where a person can take in a breath of fresh air between trips to see the masterpieces. If you are able to catch one of the MAEP exhibitions, you're in for a treat! The Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program allows visitors a chance to see a completely different side of the Mia through new exhibitions of all contemporary Minnesota artists work.
