Downtown & North Nashville

Located just north of the broadway honky-tonks, the downtown core is home to the weekday work crowd as well as a midnight speak easy or two. If you're looking to find some hidden gems that don't pop up on every tourist map, you need to check it out.

Parking can sometimes be an issue, but there are a ton of garages around. Some with pretty good all-day specials before 8:00am. Also, entrances are sometimes down the ally or just around a corner, so don’t be afraid to ask the locals if you can't find the front door.

Public service announcement: Watch out for transit buses and pedal taverns. They stop for no one.

Delicately tucked between 4th and 5th ave is the one and only Nashville Arcade. Built in 1902, this historic spot was Nashville’s first covered shopping center. Today it’s home to an eclectic group of shops, restaurants and galleries humming with the buzz of downtown Nashville. There’s no shortage of food choices, you can get your shoes shined and even leave with a sharp new haircut. With just enough quirk to make you feel like a local, The Arcade is a downtown must.
