Downtown & North Nashville

Located just north of the broadway honky-tonks, the downtown core is home to the weekday work crowd as well as a midnight speak easy or two. If you're looking to find some hidden gems that don't pop up on every tourist map, you need to check it out.

Parking can sometimes be an issue, but there are a ton of garages around. Some with pretty good all-day specials before 8:00am. Also, entrances are sometimes down the ally or just around a corner, so don’t be afraid to ask the locals if you can't find the front door.

Public service announcement: Watch out for transit buses and pedal taverns. They stop for no one.

Looking for a new vinyl hookup? Check out this hole-in-the-wall in the L&C parking garage on 5th. This badass little record shop is the hidden gem of the Nashville underground. Sitting somewhere between a fallout shelter and a record lounge, the Vinyl Bunker is home to a well-curated selection of new and used vinyl to add to your collection. It also happens to be the public-facing venue for Muddy Roots Music Recordings.
