Midland is an eclectic and multicultural mix of producers, restaurants and small retailers. It's a haven for second hand shopping, craft supplies, and the emerging coffee scene will give any inner-city hub a run for its money. The town itself was established in the late nineteenth century and boasts a collection of historic buildings, including the iconic Midland Railway Workshops. A twenty five minute train ride north-east of Perth will take you directly to the town center. However, if you do decide to drive, an extra ten minutes north will land you on the doorstep of the Swan Valley's wine region.
This family run ice creamery opened their doors in 1986 and have been satisfying Midland's collective sweet tooth ever since. Alongside the Junction's multi-award winning ice cream flavours are freshly made waffles, sundaes and banana splits, cakes, coffee and a selection of home-style savoury snacks.
