Rittenhouse Square is one of the most ritzy neighborhoods in the city. But when you spend enough time in it, you realize that right next to the old time glitz and glamour, Weird-Philadelphia is still running strong. It's an area rich in parks, rich in shops and restaurants, and...well...just plain rich. But don't let the fur coats keep you away, there are some real gems you shouldn't miss.
Schuylkill River Park is a new wave of `public space thinking`. There's dog parks and basketball courts and a skatepark and a garden and lawn space galore. The boardwalk juts out into the Schuylkill and makes you feel super in-shape, since most of the time you can run faster than the cars stuck on I-76.
