Queens Botanical Garden is 39 acres of plants, trees, and flowers, which was renovated in 2005 and 2007. You'll most likely witness a marriage take place under the white gazebo or a bridal party taking their wedding photographs here. We took a free bilingual composting class (Mandarin and English)—you could even become a New York City certified master composter. They host a variety of events year round like their Arbor Fest with a beer tent, kid games, and petting zoo (llamas are always a hit!). Find a nook within the garden to enjoy the sound of the birds and bees (they have a bee garden!).
