Downtown

The Emerald City’s downtown corridor is home to the mother of all farmer’s markets, the world’s first Starbucks, and a unique blend of independent specialty shops, bars, and restaurants. Navigate through the one-way streets and busy crowds to visit some of our favorite hidden gems, not-so-hidden landmarks, and to discover just part of what makes this town so great.

Located in the heart of Downtown, the SAM’s installations and special exhibitions sit at the center of Seattle’s creative expression and energy, boasting a lot of heritage and PNW history. Be sure to check out the porcelain room on the 4th floor and the “art and life along the Northwest coast” exhibit. Tickets are just under $20 (half the price if you have an old student ID) and the DT Museum is only open Wed – Sun.
