Praga Południe

Praga Południe is a borough of Warsaw located on the eastern bank of the Vistula river. For years, it was mostly a residential area. However, recent years have seen a raise of creative small businesses, restaurants, bars and galleries, especially around the modernist Francuska (French) street and originally industrial Mińska (Minsk) street. This was possible partly thanks to the construction of the new National Stadium brought an influx of tourists and became a landmark of the neighbourhood. The area offers a bit of everything, with new businesses opening every week.

City Beach

The eastern bank of the Vistula river was never regulated - the water flows freely among the beaches, bushes and trees. It's an environmentally protected area. One of the beaches - the ‘City Beach’ - is quite picturesque, and highly popular among young people during summer months. However, you may want to visit it outside of its peak popularity - during the spring or autumn. Around the beach you’ll find bars/cafes and a playground for children. In the summer, a ‘water tram’, can take you to the other bank of the river. The beach is also a part of of a 7-km long path, popular among joggers.
