Praga Południe

Praga Południe is a borough of Warsaw located on the eastern bank of the Vistula river. For years, it was mostly a residential area. However, recent years have seen a raise of creative small businesses, restaurants, bars and galleries, especially around the modernist Francuska (French) street and originally industrial Mińska (Minsk) street. This was possible partly thanks to the construction of the new National Stadium brought an influx of tourists and became a landmark of the neighbourhood. The area offers a bit of everything, with new businesses opening every week.

Hand Roll

Address
32 Francuska

The little restaurant serves an unusual take on Japanese food. Rolls, which would be normally sliced into maki, are served as whole, wrapped in paper. Apart from the typical ingredients (fish, shrimps, tempura, vegetables) the rolls can also include raspberries, or chilli. It’s certainly a healthier alternative to fast food, and a breath of fresh air to the local street food scene.
