It is the heart of the city and for some tourists, with the red light district and coffee shops, the only neighbourhood to visit in Amsterdam. But there are many good places for more sophisticated people. You just need to know where.
The Dutchies are famous for their beer, but if you're looking for something stronger, HIPS (Hiding in Plain Sight) is a charming cocktail bar with elegant and artsy cocktails. A hidden gem just outside the city centre. It is a small place, so we would recommend to make a reservation, especially on the weekends!
