Cabbagetown

One of the east side art districts, Cabbagetown sits adjacent to Atlanta's oldest graveyard, Oakland Cemetery. Built in the late 1800's, this historic district is the location of the South's first textile mills, the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill. And like most mill towns, the streets are extremely narrow, with short blocks and many intersections. Perfect setup for an artsy spot with hot real estate.

Esther Peachy Levere Park is the cutest little baby park in Atlanta. It was renovated in 2013 and features a modern jungle gym for the kiddos and Bauhaus-inspired teeter totters for the grownups. This tiny park is a great place to stop off with kids & dogs while you’re touring the Forward Warrior murals up and down Wylie St.
