Prospect Lefferts Gardens is a small and quiet neighborhood in Brooklyn bordering the east side of Prospect Park. The area boasts a lush historic district and has been rapidly changing in the two years we've lived here; quite a few of our favorite spots in PLG only just opened their doors within the past year.
The Prospect Park Boathouse and Audubon Center is a beautiful historic landmark just off the Lincoln Road entrance to the park, and is architecturally based on the design of a 16th-century Venetian Library. Bird-watching classes are regularly held here, and every Saturday morning at 11am this summer you can take a free cardio sculpt class on the second-level balcony hosted by Shape Up NYC.
