North Center

The North Center neighborhood hearkens back to the time when every community had its own butcher, tailor, blacksmith and, it being Chicago, a brewery. It can feel a little off the beaten-path, but rest assured, it’s well worth the journey. There are plenty of old gems that make up some of the neighborhood's best kept secrets & just as many up-and-coming restaurants & shops you'll be happy to explore.

Half Acre waves their North Center flag high and proud. From their warped wood walls to their handcrafted wood stirring paddles, it’s hard not to be in awe of the level of detail, pride and passion they put into everything they do. From their friendly staff vibes to the quality of their beers, Half Acre is hands down one of the best craft breweries in the Chicagoland area. Ok, so let’s talk food. The cherry on top of this already ideal brewery is their new playful food menu. Developed and designed by chef Nick LaCasse (former Drawing Room and mfk chef), items such as the Nachos Pamplona and the Oxtail French Onion Soup pair nicely with your already laudable experience. Brewery tours are offered to the first 60 people on Saturdays 11:00am. Let’s not forget to mention the growlers, don’t leave without one.
