Downtown

Las Vegas was born here, and until a few years ago, some would say it died here as well. That all changed in 2010 when revitalization efforts helped transform the ghost town into a thriving urban core. Now it's home to a new crop of creative twenty and thirty-somethings who work hard by day and indulge in the food, drink, and live music offerings by night. One of Las Vegas' truly bikeable areas, downtown is a great place to go for a spin.

A few years ago, this lot was an abandoned motel. Now it's a thriving urban outdoor shopping mall. As the name implies, the city block-sized attraction is built using shipping containers. Although this gives it an industrial feel, a family friendly tot lot featuring a two-story slide is the feature attraction. Some favorites include Oak & Ivy whiskey bar, Pinches Tacos, and Cheffini's hot dogs. Climb up to the third floor and watch the action from above. Oh, did I mention the 55-foot-tall steel praying mantis that spits fire?
