Downtown

Las Vegas was born here, and until a few years ago, some would say it died here as well. That all changed in 2010 when revitalization efforts helped transform the ghost town into a thriving urban core. Now it's home to a new crop of creative twenty and thirty-somethings who work hard by day and indulge in the food, drink, and live music offerings by night. One of Las Vegas' truly bikeable areas, downtown is a great place to go for a spin.

This midcentury staple on the edge of the Arts District could decorate the entire set of Mad Men in a pinch. With a warehouse full of furniture that exudes cool, it's tough to get in & out without buying something. They seem to specialize in unique bars, the kind that you showcase in your rumpus room overlooking the pool circa '66. There's a lot of affordable stuff if you're waiting until next paycheck: vintage glass, ceramics, and ornaments. Look in the glass display case for a glimpse of Vegas days gone by.
