Downtown

Las Vegas was born here, and until a few years ago, some would say it died here as well. That all changed in 2010 when revitalization efforts helped transform the ghost town into a thriving urban core. Now it's home to a new crop of creative twenty and thirty-somethings who work hard by day and indulge in the food, drink, and live music offerings by night. One of Las Vegas' truly bikeable areas, downtown is a great place to go for a spin.

The Writer's Block has the distinction of being the only independent bookstore in Las Vegas. There's a lot under their roof including a great art, design, & architecture section. Into cool notepads? They rotate through brands you've never seen before, and you'd die to get again. TWB has also branded their own set of games, toys, and other random offerings in a Wes Anderson meets Eames sort of way. A secondary space as big as the shop itself known as The Codex is their workshop space that hosts a full calendar of events. They even have a book machine that will print, bind and cut a library-quality softcover book in a few minutes.
