Koreatown

Koreatown is one of LA's most densely and diversely populated neighborhoods; historically home to mostly Korean and Latino immigrants whose cultural influence pervades the three-square mile, palm tree-lined expanse. After recovering from the LA riots in the '90s, K-town has become one of the city’s hippest areas thanks to its rich architectural heritage, exceptional eats and vibrant nightlife.

LA's donut game is on point, so it's no surprise that Koreatown is home to one of the best; this little walk-up counter is a mid-century throwback that will have you feeling like a kid with an array of donuts as diverse as the K-town inhabitants who consume them. Once you get a look at their cereal-encrusted doughnuts — Froot Loops, Lucky Charms — and candy-topped ones including Snickers, Reese's Cups and M&M's, it's hard to go for a cronut (but they have that too if it's your thang). There are so many classics to choose from, and at 95 cents each, there's no need to hold back. Ideal if you need to spell something in letter-shaped donuts (they also do that) or give yourself adult-onset diabetes.
