Koreatown

Koreatown is one of LA's most densely and diversely populated neighborhoods; historically home to mostly Korean and Latino immigrants whose cultural influence pervades the three-square mile, palm tree-lined expanse. After recovering from the LA riots in the '90s, K-town has become one of the city’s hippest areas thanks to its rich architectural heritage, exceptional eats and vibrant nightlife.

Korean BBQ in Koreatown is like sex and pizza: even when it's mediocre, it's still pretty good. Quarters appears to be something of a stepsister to it's neighboring KBBQ joints in the Chapman Plaza shopping center, a major hub for Koreatown nightlife. Although it flaunts a glossy chain-style restaurant, don't be fooled into thinking their BBQ is run of the mill. Expertly grilled Kobe paired with a solid selection of beers on tap, well that's artistry you can only find in excess in this neighborhood. Quarters is an ideal pick if the wait's too nuts at Kang Ho-Dong Baekjong or Toe Bang and you've got a hankering for mouth-watering pork belly, cooked tableside.
