Koreatown

Koreatown is one of LA's most densely and diversely populated neighborhoods; historically home to mostly Korean and Latino immigrants whose cultural influence pervades the three-square mile, palm tree-lined expanse. After recovering from the LA riots in the '90s, K-town has become one of the city’s hippest areas thanks to its rich architectural heritage, exceptional eats and vibrant nightlife.

There are Korean saunas — a classic LA experience — and then there's Wi Spa: the 24-hour mega spa is open to kids and adults, much to the lament of anyone in search of a relaxing experience (me). Offering an extensive list of spa services, the best bang for your buck is the flat entrance fee. For 25 buckaroonies, you get full access to five different heated rooms, hot tubs, dry and steam saunas, a library and sleeping rooms, where you can chill (and sweat) with the whole fam or your new squeeze on a nap mats in the communal jimjilbang for as long as you like, or basque on the quiet rooftop. If that's not enough for you, Wi has a full restaurant and a gift shop filled with Korean beauty products and services. Ideal if you need a serious backrub (go for the accupressure massage) or want to have skin like baby (even if you're not one, their body scrub treatment can get you there, bro).
