East is the OG of Nashville’s Barista Parlors. Go for the coffee, leave with it and the breakfast in your eternal waking daydreams. Think Bourbon-Vanilla Lattes and exotic espresso. Crisp yet fluffy, to-die-for biscuits piled high with egg, sausage, cheese and marmalade. Thousand-layer donuts and macaroons tease from behind glass. Plates overflow with cheddar eggs (perfectly peppered) the best bacon and duh, a biscuit. The mad scientists here are as well-rounded in eats as they are in coffee contraptions and preparation. Real records spin in the corner, amplified to fill the whole space. Don’t hit snooze. Just go.
