Opened in 1970 by filmmaker Jonas Mekas, the Anthology Film Archives is a place full of character and characters that have a passion for film. With 2 theaters, they show everything from indie to foreign films with a little something for everyone. Seating and tickets are first come first serve and their are no concessions, so bring your own. An important NYC institution with quite the history.
