International District

Nestled between Pioneer Square and the Central District, the Chinatown-International District or "The I.D." (as locals say) is a richly historic neighborhood with gems both culinary and cultural around just about every corner. Its three distinct neighborhoods of Chinatown, Japantown and Little Saigon comprise the center of Seattle's Asian American community. While many only venture in on weekends for late-night karaoke or recovery dim sum, it has a ton to offer all week long if you're curious enough to find it.

The Wing Luke Museum has many rotating exhibitions featuring Asian American artists as well as historical relics unique to Seattle. Be sure to catch the hourly tour of the old preserved shop near the front entrance. The amazing skylight on the 2nd floor transforms the space. It's a museum, go, learn, soak it in.
