Although Southern offers much more than classic fried chicken, their Nashville-style birds are the trick that draws you in then keeps you coming back for seconds. And thirds. Chef Rick Lewis’ has nestled his coop along Olive Blvd. and is open to serve hot lunches Wednesday through Sunday (bummer: they’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Best thing about their Nashville hot chicken? It’s oh-so-juicy. Worst thing? If you try to be a badass and order the Cluckin’ Hot style, it’ll likely burn your face off (don’t say we didn’t warn you). We fancy ourselves hot sauce savvy, but we’d stick with the mild if this is your first time. The best bang for your buck is the four-piece tender meal – delicious chicken, TWO killer sides, a slide of bread and pickles. Top it off with a local soda and your lunch is sure to be fire.
