St. Petersburg East

Downtown St. Petersburg is the city’s heart - chock full of independent boutiques, art galleries, museums, parks, and a food scene that can contend with the likes of this country’s metropolitan meccas. It is hard to believe that St. Petersburg was once known as, “Heaven’s Waiting Room.” Today, downtown St. Pete is a hub for creatives of all kinds, whether they are traditional artists, graphic designers, curators of local treasures, or chefs. Downtown St. Pete also houses some of Florida’s best craft breweries, a selection of some of the world’s best surrealist artwork (thank you, Salvador Dali), and so much more. The city cultivates a feeling of unprecedented growth, while maintaining the intimacy of a tight-knit local community. In short, there is nothing quite like it.

Located on Beach Drive and across the street from Straub Park, Stillwaters Tavern is known to locals for having delicious food and incredible cocktails. The restaurant is eclectic in menu and atmosphere, to say the least. Upon entering, guests see gleaming subway tiles on the walls, offset by rustic wooden tables and blue-topped chairs. The restaurant’s iconic logo – a creature with the head of a pig and the body of a fish – adorns the wall adjacent to the kitchen. Guests will also find that the tables and wine glasses are stamped with the restaurants longitude and latitude, a small touch that gives the joint a little something extra.
