Pyrmont

Pyrmont has come a long way since it’s early days in Sydney’s history. It used to be a working class suburb and in the early 19th Century it was even considered a slum. Not anymore. It’s now a cultural hot spot full of fancy restaurants, creative agencies, awesome pubs and the Star – Sydney’s only casino… for now. Pyrmont is an old suburb that’s received a bit of a face-lift and it’s well worth a look around.

Keep your eyes peeled, or you might miss this one. Bar Anonimo is as its name suggests, quite anonymous. The unassuming front entrance expands into a modern dining area, cleverly designed to maximise space. It’s a local favourite for its delicious coffee and food. When you’re eating the avocado and tomato bruschetta with fresh ricotta, you think to yourself, “How is this so delicious?” It’s warm, genuine and friendly, without being too overfamiliar. You’ll always feel at home here. We recommend the granola for take away, the bruschetta for eating in and for lunch, check the specials board. We had a delicious smoked duck salad.
