Pyrmont

Pyrmont has come a long way since it’s early days in Sydney’s history. It used to be a working class suburb and in the early 19th Century it was even considered a slum. Not anymore. It’s now a cultural hot spot full of fancy restaurants, creative agencies, awesome pubs and the Star – Sydney’s only casino… for now. Pyrmont is an old suburb that’s received a bit of a face-lift and it’s well worth a look around.

The infamous Greyhound’s is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, but this local institution is a great place to people watch and take photos. Expect shouting, trackies, the smell of fried foods coupled with fluros, all adding to the seediness of the whole affair. This is not your typical ‘day at the races’ and people who love animals should definitely steer clear.
