Carroll Gardens is a historic neighborhood in south Brooklyn named after the expansive gardens perfectly manicured in front of its brownstones. Not only does Carroll Gardens have rich Italian roots, but it boasts a ton of pride. From the friendly neighbors to the amazing local business owners, this tiny neighborhood has enough heart and soul for all of New York City.
Everything in the shop has been carefully hand-selected with lots of love.
Frankies 457 is a Carroll Gardens staple and is representative of the neighborhood's old school Italian roots paired with the youngsters who have recently flocked to this part of New York. The result is a restaurant with truly classic Italian dishes and a diverse crowd. Many a celebrities have been sighted by us here and many more glasses of wine have been drunk. We recommend the gnocchi and the eggplant marinara dishes. The best we've ever had. Seriously.
