Carroll Gardens is a historic neighborhood in south Brooklyn named after the expansive gardens perfectly manicured in front of its brownstones. Not only does Carroll Gardens have rich Italian roots, but it boasts a ton of pride. From the friendly neighbors to the amazing local business owners, this tiny neighborhood has enough heart and soul for all of New York City.

Who'd've thunk that your new favorite business would be a hardware store? We keep coming back to Mazzone Hardware mostly to hang out with the staff, who all have been devoted to the shop for years and are each fascinating people. Mazzone's regularly hosts the yearly Pumpkin Fest and has sidewalk cookouts to show off their Big Green Egg grills. Any chance to come here is worthwhile; you'll leave with your problem fixed and a new pal (or plant).
