Carroll Gardens is a historic neighborhood in south Brooklyn named after the expansive gardens perfectly manicured in front of its brownstones. Not only does Carroll Gardens have rich Italian roots, but it boasts a ton of pride. From the friendly neighbors to the amazing local business owners, this tiny neighborhood has enough heart and soul for all of New York City.

We're not even sure how to do Smith Canteen justice. This is our hands down go-to coffee shop. Each of us stops at Smith Canteen every day on our way into our studio and we have an ongoing competition to see who checks in the most at Smith Canteen. Everything is spectacular here. The Counter Culture coffee, the pastries and sandwiches are all incredible. Bonus tip, get the Thunderbolt in the Summer. A Thunderbolt is a lemonade with a shot of espresso. A confusing mix of tart and will shoot a jolt of lightening to your brain!
