One of the sweetest, most tight-knit communities in the 718. Prospect Heights has seen much change in its time, which is visible in the architecture alone - the streets are lined with a mix of beautiful historic rowhouses and new luxury condos. Though small in size, it holds two of the borough’s largest institutions - the BK Museum and the BK Public Library - as well as the Barclays Center, home to the NBA's Brooklyn Nets. Over the past 15 years, we’ve witnessed the resurgence of restaurants, nightlife and shops, putting Prospect Heights on the grid as a beloved Brooklyn destination.
High-quality, tasty coffee and pastries in an airy, elegant space.
From the same owners of one of our favorite cocktail bars, Sunshine Co., Milk Bar is a small, energetic and lively cafe on the corner of Vanderbilt and Prospect Place. Dishing out fresh, healthy fare including pastries, granola, salads and sandwiches - this is a great place to meet friends for a quick weekend lunch or toss around ideas with a client. Serving only direct trade and organically farmed coffee, you are guaranteed a delicious brew. Try the “Australian Iced Coffee”, a double shot of chilled espresso over two scoops of locally made vanilla bean ice cream and then topped with milk. SWOON.
