Prospect Heights

One of the sweetest, most tight-knit communities in the 718. Prospect Heights has seen much change in its time, which is visible in the architecture alone - the streets are lined with a mix of beautiful historic rowhouses and new luxury condos. Though small in size, it holds two of the borough’s largest institutions - the BK Museum and the BK Public Library - as well as the Barclays Center, home to the NBA's Brooklyn Nets. Over the past 15 years, we’ve witnessed the resurgence of restaurants, nightlife and shops, putting Prospect Heights on the grid as a beloved Brooklyn destination.

You’re not supposed to judge a book by it’s cover, but it’s kind of hard not to when they’re practically stacked from floor to ceiling. This is not your typical bookstore by any means, oh no. This place is made for book lovers, by book lovers. From independent books you’ve never heard of to best sellers you’ve always wanted to pick up, this place has got it all. It’s a quaint and cozy space that has mastered the art of controlled chaos. Beautifully cluttered and eclectically curated, it almost feels like you’re hunting for a book in the wild and it’s nothing less than thrilling! They host talks, lunches, readings and even hold secret events from time to time. Look for the collage wall dedicated to letters, photos and other found items from the pages of used books brought to the store. If you’re like us and are addicted to books, or are looking to give some of your older books a good home, then this is definitely the place for you.
