South Slope is a quiet, laid-back, mashup of a Brooklyn neighborhood. Historical landmarks and treelined streets of row houses coexist with stretches of rugged industrial buildings. Nestled between the larger, bustling Park Slope and Sunset Park hoods, the more relaxed South Slope has come into its own in recent years as a destination for quality bars, restaurants and cafes.
Legit Central European food—and beer, of course—piled high on your plate. Pull up to a stool or sink into a deep booth in this high ceilinged spot. Their fried burger has gotten a ton of press as being one of the best around (it kinda is), and that same fried 'Langos' dough topped with sweets is the most decadent thing I've ever had for brunch. Mmmmm...
