South Slope is a quiet, laid-back, mashup of a Brooklyn neighborhood. Historical landmarks and treelined streets of row houses coexist with stretches of rugged industrial buildings. Nestled between the larger, bustling Park Slope and Sunset Park hoods, the more relaxed South Slope has come into its own in recent years as a destination for quality bars, restaurants and cafes.
There’s usually jazz or 70’s soft rock playing when I pop in for my weekday morning commute coffee. There’s usually a conversation happening between staff and locals that you’re welcome to add to. There’s usually room to open up a laptop to work a while. Tin Cup’s casual vibe and quality coffee keeps me coming back.
