The city bills itself as the "Venice of America" but I don't know about all that. It is however, a pretty eclectic area with no shortage of sunshine or things to do. You can kayak through rich people's backyards, wander into a silent disco or find a coffee shop through a bookcase. What it lacks in mega-clubs & overpriced drinks, it makes up for with unique characters and some good vibes.
Fort Lauderdale is littered with waterways and channels, which can make for some great kayaking.
You can get eye level with everything from an alligator to a sea otter.
To say Laser Wolf is an interesting bar would be an understatement. They serve tons of local craft beer while playing B-list horror flicks on repeat. There isn't anything quite like it around town, and that's a good thing. No jerks, yes beers.
