The city bills itself as the "Venice of America" but I don't know about all that. It is however, a pretty eclectic area with no shortage of sunshine or things to do. You can kayak through rich people's backyards, wander into a silent disco or find a coffee shop through a bookcase. What it lacks in mega-clubs & overpriced drinks, it makes up for with unique characters and some good vibes.
Fort Lauderdale is littered with waterways and channels, which can make for some great kayaking.
You can get eye level with everything from an alligator to a sea otter.
There's not much to photograph at Nuevos Cubanos because well, it's just a counter and a window. However, everything that comes out of that window tastes delicious. Order a cuban sandwich and a cortadito, you'll have no regrets. I guarantee it like the Men's Warehouse guy.
