Step south of Oxford Street to explore the independent boutiques and cafés of London’s original creative hub, still home to many media companies. Soho has a strong sense of community and many traders here are long-established. But it is constantly evolving, with new shops and restaurants opening frequently, making it a lively and dynamic neighbourhood.
Delicious ice-creams and sorbets are made fresh everyday at this popular gelateria. Owned by chef Jacob Kennedy (who runs the acclaimed restaurant Bocca di Lupo opposite), it has an ever-changing offering of innovative flavours, often inspired by what’s in season. Berry Eton mess, fresh mint stracciatella and apricot and amaretto are currently on the menu. It’s open until 11.30pm so you can satisfy a craving at any time of the day. The shop also sells cakes and Italian groceries such as pasta and oils.
