Mar Vista is what you may have called an "up & coming" neighborhood a few years ago. Centrally located between Venice and Culver City, it is a great community with a lot of fresh, unique stuff going on and a growing creative population. We're proud to call it our home and are stoked on all the awesomeness within walking distance to our design studio.
If you miss the madness of Tokyo or want a true taste of Japan, Mitsuwa has it all. The food court alone is so extensive that we featured our favorite ramen spot Santouka as a separate entry. Other than ramen, Mitsuwa has Sushi, Soba, a full market and a stationery + magazine shop that stocks all your design-related goodies and weird anime fetishes. Get in before or after the lunch rush though if you want a seat in the food court, lunch time can be pretty cut-throat.
