Mar Vista is what you may have called an "up & coming" neighborhood a few years ago. Centrally located between Venice and Culver City, it is a great community with a lot of fresh, unique stuff going on and a growing creative population. Inside Mitsuwa lies the hidden ramen powerhouse, Santouka. Get there early and claim a table before the lunch rush starts to swarm. We recommend the #31 (spicy miso) but have a back up t-shirt unless your color is orange.
