Nestled within hills and only 10 minutes northwest of Downtown LA, Silver Lake has been known to nurture musicians, independent artists, and writers. The neighborhood is peppered with iconic architecture by mid-century modernists such as John Lautner, Rudolph Schindler and Richard Neutra. The reservoir, although currently being drained, is an oasis within the city for people and nature. Alongside the neighborhood staples, Sunset Boulevard continues to flourish as a springboard for new shops and cafés. Although it's just the tip of the iceberg (there's a different experience here for everyone), here's a roundup of some of our favorite spots.
Floral elegance
This Australian brand has made it's way to the Eastside. It's sleek monochromatic look of the interior and product coaxes you in to take a closer look at each bottle, vial and cream. They take pride in their plant-based formulas. Also, each location is designed with a different concept, so if you're into interiors, try to keep an eye out for their other locations around the world.
