Nestled within hills and only 10 minutes northwest of Downtown LA, Silver Lake has been known to nurture musicians, independent artists, and writers. The neighborhood is peppered with iconic architecture by mid-century modernists such as John Lautner, Rudolph Schindler and Richard Neutra. Alongside the neighborhood staples, Sunset Boulevard continues to flourish as a springboard for new shops and cafés. Although it's just the tip of the iceberg (there's a different experience here for everyone), here's a roundup of some of our favorite spots.
